Astrid joined the team in December 2022 as a Contract Administrator. She has a PhD in chemistry from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, but has spent most of her working life in Marine Biology. As an interesting fact, she can identify over 500 different plankton species.
She fancied a career change and loves working with the team to get the best deals for her customers, with the work being interesting and different every day. Plus working locally it means she is reducing her carbon footprint.
She doesn’t like it when suppliers pull their prices just after she has sent out prices or prepared contracts though.
In her spare time she likes cooking (just another form of chemistry), gardening, reading and being out in nature. She also volunteers by being the company secretary for her local renewable energy community group, helping with the local newsletter and monitoring riverflies as an indicator for water quality.
